Following the inclusion of lead (Pb) in the candidate list of SVHC substances, we are obliged to inform you that lead is contained in the components listed below in a mass concentration of more than 0.1% (w/w). In this regard it is irrelevant whether the respective components are coming into contact with drinking water.

Nevertheless, use of substances, which meet the criteria of Art. 57 of the REACH Regulation (Regulation [EC] No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council) and are pursuant to Art. 59 para. 1 of this Regulation, is not always avoidable.

As lead is firmly bound as an alloy component in brass alloys and therefore no exposure is expected, no additional information regarding safe usage is required.

In this regard we refer to the fact that the components identified by us below, to the extent that they come into contact with drinking water, fully correspond to the current “Evaluation criteria for metallic materials in contact with drinking water (Metall-Bewertungsgrundlage)” from the Federal Environment Agency as well as to the current “Acceptance of metallic materials used for products in contact with drinking water” from 4MSI Common Approach.

It is therefore self-evident that the continued safe use of the product is guaranteed. Please observe the usage instructions of the product.
